Yoga – P90x Style

Tyson Last night I did the P90x YogaX and it rocked. Its been a few months since I have done this and I forgot how much it kicks ones’ butt. This morning I came into the office hoping so spread the good word of yoga to my fellow associates and I was immediately met with laughter and raised eyebrows. “Yoga? You did yoga? Isn’t that for women?” There is such a misconception around yoga and who can benefit from it. Most men look at it as a series of bends and poses that are done by women. How could you possibly get a good workout from doing poses? After only 45 minutes of yogax last night, I was drenched in sweat…drenched! After the 90 minutes was up, I was ready for it to be over but I felt relaxed, refreshed and ready for the next time. Tony Horton does such a great job putting this workout together and allowing the people that aren’t quite at his level, different options to the exercise that will still give them great results. I was able to almost all the exercises with great ease except for that stupid crane move. That one gets me every time!
I challenge any guys out there to take a yoga class or pick up a yoga DVD and give it a try. I think you will be surprised at the effect it will have on you. If you have tried the P90X Yoga, please comment on what you thought of it.
