I have started the recovery week of my first phase of P90x this week so I thought now would be a great time to reflect on what I thought of my first phase.
Overall I was pretty happy with the first 3 weeks. I have pretty much stopped weighing myself or taking my body fat percentage so I am not sure if I gained or lost but my clothes where fitting better and my body looked more toned while working out. My favorite workout has to be the Shoulders and Arms workout. Least favorite is Yoga. I actually like doing Yoga but since its an hour and a half long, I am forced to do it at night after the kids are in bed. By this time I am pretty exhausted anyway so it tends to drag me down.
My diet over the last 3 weeks has been pretty good. My birthday landed in there and there were a few celebrations for that with various family members but overall I was true to my plan. I am looking forward to the second phase as I might add some of the cardioX for some doubles. I plan on taking some pictures at the end of this week so that people can see my progress.
For all those starting P90x or thinking about it. Remember, Do your best and forget the rest!

How was your second phase?
I am just starting my first phase and finding it hard to complete the whole workouts. I end up skipping the second half of workouts because I am completely exhausted by then, perhaps because I haven’t made the required change in my diet.
My second phase went very well. The only workout I ever found myself skimping on was Yoga. I know they say its the glue that holds everything together but 1.5 hours is a long time for me to take out of my day. I have managed to find a few other Yoga programs that are just as good but a little shorter.
Which workouts do you have a hard time completing? What time do you perform your workouts? If done later in the day, that might be a cause of the exhaustion. Poor eating habits might also be a good cause. I always compare my body to a furnace. You need to fuel the fire in order to get the desired results. I eat clean, lean and often.
