I Rock at Breakfast

For the last few days I have been trying to make some healthy nutritious breakfasts for my wife and I. Usually we have protein smoothies but after running out of the protein powder and not being able to get to the store to get some more, I started to improvise. The goal here was to eat foods as close to the source as possible and to keep it as good for us as I could. If I wanted highly processed, sugar laced foods, we could have eaten the Chex cereal in the pantry. Yuck!

Here comes my fantastic list! Are you ready for this?!

  • Monday – Protein Shakes (protein powder,milk,blueberries,real peanut butter)
  • Tuesday – Scrambled Eggs and pan fried potatoes (olive oil).
  • Wednesday – Scrambled Eggs and pan fried potatoes (olive oil).
  • Thursday – Steak and pan fried potatoes (olive oil).

I am not sure what tomorrow will bring. Probably eggs and potatoes again. I have also started to substitute salsa for ketchup after I realized how much sugar is in ketchup.

1 tablespoon ketchup = 1 teaspoon of sugar
