Today’s HIIT – Tabata
November 6th, 2009
Tyson So today I was running short on time and patience for the gym. So I decided to try a workout that I saw posted on another blog yesterday. The workout called Tabata is a high-intensity training cycle of 20 seconds of maximum intensity exercise, followed by 10 seconds of rest, repeated without pause 8 times for a total of four minutes. I performed my workout on the Spin bike in the cardio room. Was it intense? Well I was able to get my heart rate up to 180pbm and my legs are still feeling the effects of it. So I would have to say it was pretty intense.
Its nice to know that I can get a great workout in when time is hard to come by.
