Time with spent with family

This weekend we are up in Iowa visiting family.  I always enjoy this time as it gives me a chance to relax and spend some quality time with the ones I love.  Today was no exception to that.   After lunch I took out my youngest daughter for a walk –  a little daddy/daughter time. We walked and ate pumpkin bread, walked and ate pumpkin bread.  We talked about life and what interests her. It was a great time and something that I think every parent should do with their kids at least once a week. When we got back,  I took the oldest daughter out for the same thing.  Her and I raced down the hill. She won.  Did I think about calories burnt or carbs lost.  Nope, and that’s the way it should be.
