I am not really sure why the decided to do real sugar. I wonder if its because of all the negative press that HFCS has been getting lately. I dont see them continuing with real sugar when you think about how much more expensive it is compared to HFCS.

WOW, that's a lot of sugar. Are they running out of HFCS or something? Such a curious time of year to release this product.

I found it at the QuikTrip on 169 by our house. Bought a 12-pack of each that we tried. I enjoyed it.

The after taste could be from the nearly 5 tablespoons of sugar that I just consumed or from the fact that I have not had a Pepsi in months. I had to go to two different places just to find the Pepsi. I would have rather had the Mt Dew.

Alli and I tried the Throwback Mountain Dew and Heritage Dr. Pepper tonight. Our experience with them was completely different. I can understand the fizz part, but I didn't find any sort of aftertaste in the Mountain Dew. Alli said the same thing about the Dr. Pepper. Wonder if you guys got a bad batch.

To me, the flavor is very close to the original, but without that oversweet HFCS taste.

I am trying to drink less soda, but this is a nice option for people that don't want the crazy sweeteners.
