Well first of all, I really hate Yoga. My body doesn’t bend that way so hopefully I can get more flexible as time goes by. This last week was challenging trying to stay on a workout schedule and missed one workout completely. I tend to use the lower impact exercises but also feel the difference after each day. I intend to really focus on these exercises this week and get more into a routine.

My second week was a bit off. On Wednesday I had a medical procedure that required me to be sedated and as much as I wanted to work out that day, I didn’t get to. Thursday I attempted a yoga session wife my wife but my energy from the day before was still a bit off so I don’t feel like I got much out of it. I was back to normal and back to the gym on Friday. I skipped Kenpo on Saturday and instead went on a 3 mile run with a few sprints at the end. My diet has been pretty good but I have allowed myself a few indulgences once in awhile (like a Sonic Blast on Sunday!). Both my weight and body fat are down so I am pretty excited about that.

The second week seemed a little bit easier than the first, but my knees are still really hurting and that makes a lot of the lower body exercises and stretches pretty difficult. Unfortunately, I was not encouraged by weight loss again this week, but at least I didn’t gain. I’m starting to think I need to change my diet significantly if I want to lose more weight (which needs to probably be accompanied by some additional cardio to burn more calories), but I’m having trouble committing to that.
I didn’t do the Kempo X this week and substituted some cardio, but probably should have done both.
I need to up my intensity if I want to see more results.

This week was a little easier than the first week. I’m starting to figure out how to modify the exercises to fit the intensity that I need, whether it be making them easier or more difficult. I think the plyometrics is still my favorite but it’s probably the hardest. I also really enjoy yoga. It is very relaxing but it works muscles that I’ve never worked before and will improve my balance. I was not able to work out Friday night due to scheduling issues but I am caught back up now. There are days I just don’t feel like working out but Dad and I motivate each other to not give up, and that really helps. So far I love the P90X Challenge!
