No Pool in the Locker Room!

pool

My local YMCA has a pool which I adore. What I don’t care for is what happens to the locker room because of, said, pool. Here are some simple rules to live by if you don’t want to offend me next time you are swimming at the YMCA near me.

  1. DRY OFF IN THE SHOWER AREA!!

That’s it. That is the only rule. You don’t need to saunter back to your locker dripping wet. When you do this, you are getting the floor wet, the benches wet, and my stuff wet. I also don’t like to stand in puddles of water as I am trying to get dressed/undressed.

Furthermore, most locker rooms have a water extractor for your trunks. They are usually located by the showers. This extractor is much more efficient than laying your trunks across the bench in hopes that they dry before you are ready to hit the road. Here is a little tip – they won’t dry that way.
