P90x Challenge – Week 3

Week3

Our P90x challengers have just completed Week 3 of the P90x Challenge. Although we have lost a few along the way, many others are keeping up the intensity. Lets see how things are shaping up.

Neale

Neale_blog This last week and this week have been terribly difficult. I have a go-live for 4/30 and is taking every hour I have.

I did end up skipping a few days last week but did do the Kenpo X. That was a fun workout and I’m still sore from it. I actually do look forward to doing that again next week.

Tyson

Tyson_blog My third week went well. I upped the workout level a bit on Monday by incorporating my Push-Up Pro’s into the mix. That increased the intensity quite a bit. I am substituting Biggest Loser Weight Loss Yoga for P90x on Thursdays. I just don’t have the time to do one and a half hours of yoga. The Biggest Loser workout I find to be just as intense and i really am enjoying it. I also ran on Saturday in place of Kenpo.

My diet was a bit off as we had guests in town for a very special event and it was my one year anniversary on Sunday. Both events caused my eating to be off but nothing that I am too concerned about. Part of this challenge is learning to adjust both workout out and life around each other. Sometimes we need to learn to keep a good balance for both.

I am happy to have the recovery week here. I was starting to get bored with the same routines in the first phase.

Kylie

Kylie_blog Honestly, I was only able to workout twice this week. I was swimming in homework and it was just very difficult to find time to workout. I’m hoping to get back on schedule this week though. I look forward to a new schedule this coming week and trying out the Kenpo X.

Shane

Shane_blog No big update for me. The workouts are getting a little easier, but I was less motivated this week. I’m not sure I’m ready for a “recovery week” yet because I still feel like I have a long ways to go.
