P90x Challenge – Week 5

Week5

And then there were two.

Tyson

Tyson_blog It was a tough week for me. My oldest daughter was not feeling well so I did not make it to the gym for a couple of days. Instead I did a lot of the workouts at home with my wife. Because of that, I had to use bands in place of pull-ups and weights that didn’t really fit my lifting style. Looking back, it still gave me a good workout and allowed me to do some badly needed toning.

I overslept on Thursday and didn’t get to do Yoga. Friday I had a very busy day at the office so I didn’t get to the gym that day either. Saturday was equally as busy so I skipped all my workouts that day. This week has started off much better and I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of things.

Shane_blog I had a lousy last week and a bad start to this week. It’s more and more difficult for me to find the time for an hour plus every day. Usually early morning is my best option because of meetings, work, church responsibilities that keep me from evening workouts.

This week has started even worse. I’ve only found time so far to do one workout and it wasn’t a P90X one, but a short yoga series. However, I will say this: the yoga was significantly easier and I found myself a lot more flexible than I did the last time I did it. I’ll chalk that one up to P90X.

I’m working to get back on the bandwagon, but am considering abandoning P90X in favor of the 30-Day Challenge on EA Fitness for the Wii. Convince me otherwise!

Shane – Although you are half way done with the P90x challenge and I would love to see you continue with it, if your mind isn’t right and you aren’t seeing the results you want, then its hard to continue to pump out your best every workout. Keep giving it your best and see what happens!
