Who in their right mind would want to eat this? Perfect example of what is wrong with our society these days. This consists of a bottom layer of brownies, topped by a layer of chocolate cake and a layer of red velvet cake, smothered in Oreos mixed with frosting, rice Krispies, marshmallow fluff, meringue and chocolate pudding. I cant even imagine wanting to eat this. See more things like this at thisiswhyyourefat.com

Last night I came home to a box on my step from my Mom. I was not expecting anything from her so I hastily ripped it open to discover that she had sent me some healthy snacks to try (thanks Mom!). This morning on my way to the office I grabbed this one to try.

Crispy Parmesan Protein Chips
It’s a small bag (1.5oz) of all natural Crispy Parmesan Protein Chips that are gluten free with no trans fat made by Better Balance and distributed by Kays Naturals. Phew, that was a big intro. I sure hope they don’t disappoint!
Initial overall taste was much better than I expected considering they are gluten free. They were good but not to the point where I had to shove the whole bag in my mouth and lick every last crumb off the table. They were, however, light and crisp with just the right amount of Parmesan flavor. The bag contained 1.5 servings of which I ate all and I was left satisfied but not full. 45 minutes later I am still going strong and although starting to feel hungry again, nothing that is beyond manageable. I also do not have any nasty after taste.
The entire bag consisted of 165 calories, 5grams of fat, 21grams of carbs, and 15 grams of soy protein which is a perfect snack for me mid-morning.
This snack receives the following from me:
- Taste – 3 out of 5
- Size – 4 out of 5
- Nutrition – 4 out of 5
This is probably something I would buy myself if I was ever in the need of a chip fix.

Just yesterday I was sitting on the bike at the gym when I shiny blue box caught my attention. I looked once, then twice, and then finally turned completely around to see what it was. Were my eyes playing tricks on me or was there really a soda machine sitting right next to the water fountain? I had to go over and take a look. It was in fact a Pepsi machine although it contained no soda. However, its selection wasn’t much better.
Here is what it had:
- Water
- Propel
- 2 types of Power-Aid
- AMP
- 2 types of Dole Juice
Not exactly a great choice for a pre or post workout drink. I would have loved to see some protein shakes in there but I guess there wasn’t any room left. I would also expect someplace like the gym to promote healthy choices. It appears that profit was the main motivational factor here. Wouldn’t you agree?
